Fitment Procedure for  Camber/Castor Bush

87-96 Ford F150/250

1999- up F250/350

SSF10-10 / SSF10-15 / SSF10-20

All products available from Safe-T-Steer are intended for use by professional installers

 only.

This new development (design registered) has been researched and tested to provide easy

fitment and simple means to adjust camber only, castor only or a combination camber and

 castor change.

The "eccentric bush" is manufactured with a serrated edge to allow rotation to any position

 over 3600

The "parallel bore" of this style bush does not induce any problems of "taper pull", "ball

angularity" or "knuckle preload" indifferences created by the earlier styles with

 tapered/angled bore.

The new design "top" fitted bush does not create any difficulties unlike the minimal castor

change effect of the earlier 80-87 F100 2WD inverted bush.

This bush provides for "direct relationship" change of camber and castor settings.

Fitting Instructions

1.  Check camber and castor

2.  Remove original bushing by raising wheel off turntable and slackening the pinch bolt.

Lever out the bush. (Air hammer and blunt chisel).

3.  Note size of original bush. (Some factory offset bushes are fitted)  Size in degrees

 stamped on upper flange.

4.  Align the wheel assembly to allow the selected bush to be installed.

5.  Turn the bush to any desired location by multigrips on the serrated flange to achieve

optimum camber and castor settings.  (Wheel can be lowered to turntable at this time).

6.  Torque the ball joint pinch bolt to 60ft/lbs.

7.  Check and adjust the toe.

8.  Road test vehicle
